Launched originally as just the Heathen, the Heathen A110, as it come to be called, was produced to fight the large battleships of other nations, something the then standard Vendetta struggled to do. The A110 is a single engine design, and featured many standards of Praetorian designs at the time, including a Trans-Tunnel extension array, hyper-spatial friction ribbing, and a large number of 'Trident' gun batteries. As the vessels successor was based on the same basic superstructure, allowing for total hull modifications, these vessels are almost entirely phased out.

5 Heathens were present for the second Battle of New York, being assigned as the lead ships in Alexander C.'s five battleship attack wings. H.E.M.S Sunday as the sole Heathen to weather the initial assault un-damaged, went on to lead the Preatorian side of the successful attack on Sahaquiel.

Originally launched as the Heathen Advanced, the vessel was put together as a quick fix. The original design fell behind the pace of other nations, including Scythian iterations on the Emperor & Monarch classes. This was the first front line vessel to incorporate element from 'Project apotheosis', being at the forefront of a massive leap in Praetorian technological prowess. The replacement of the primary armament with 'Fire-Tempest' turrets, as well as the addition of missile launch silos, gave the vessel top rating firepower amongst its peers.

The latest vessel in the series, it represents a more thought out incremental improvement in the series, with more mature technology than its predecessors almost test-bed design. Built to combat a growing proliferation of Super-Capital ships, it features a bump in firepower, accompanied by large gains in propulsion and defense.
Trivia[]
- While fitting with the often biblical, and defiant themes in Praetorian ship naming, 'Heathen' is primarily a reference to the 2002 David Bowie album of the same name, along with the title track. H.E.M.S Sunday was also named in reference to the albums opening track.
- The A220 was built from the original model, by stripping it down, and then rebuilding it from there. Hence the very clear similarities between them. The A330 on the other hand was built brick-by-brick from scratch, using only a reference, to allow a new shape to take form.
- The A220 has an AN-Pattern variant in special livery, it features a blue and dark grey scheme, along with a set of flashing 'police' lights. While the A110 had a Black-Operations variant.
